about the venue

Venues are chosen by their Historical Significance in the Inland Empire. Non-Profit or For Profit, locations are identified by community and need of exposure. The Chaffey Garcia House is located in a residential area and is an Active-Living Museum. The Chaffey Garcia House and Isle House are CLOSED during events. We are working towards “Special Event” tours. However, this is ultimately decided by The Etiwanda Historical Society Board of Directors. Remember this is a Historic Venue, there are uneven walkways and pathways. Be mindful of cracks, tree roots and overall uneven grounds. By entering this Event you AGREE to Historic Property Limitations.

Is summer spook nights a family friendly event?

Yes. Every effort is made to make this a fun, welcoming, inclusive experience. Please help us maintain are Loving, Spooky community atmosphere!

Are pets allowed?

Unfortunately no. Only AKC and Certified Service animals are permitted. Animals must be able to handle loud noise and crowds. Pet Policy is per venue restrictions. Not ours.

Inclement weather

If by chance it happens to rain in August. Our show will go on! Attention will be given if “Lighting Storms” are in the forecast. Announcements will be made throughout event time to get indoors or decision made to end early. Thus far, our shows have been BLESSED by the weather GODS!

Is there a cost to enter?

No. Summer Spook Nights prides itself on being a FREE EVENT! We want guests to spend their hard earned money supporting our vendors! As well as, considering becoming a member of our hosting organization “The Etiwanda Historical Society”. Donation’s are welcomed and a donation box will be provided the day of event. Guests MUST RSVP, Ticket Link will be provided this coming APRIL!

planning on drinking?

If alcohol is permitted on premises during our event. Spirits will be provided by Venue or Professional Bar Vendor. 21+ guests must show VALID ID, expired DRIVERS LICENSE or expired STATE IDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. For 21+ guests with VALID ID’s wristbands will be provided at our main entrance.

cash or card?

MOST Vendors accept Venmo, Zelle, & Apple Pay. Cash is Welcomed, Not Required.

parking

Is FREE. Due to historic venue being located in residential area. Guests are allowed to park on street. Not in front of venue due to “Hearse Club” Special Guests who take over our front entrance sidewalk and entrance curb area. Guests are also welcomed to park at school parking lots. NO PARKING at the Etiwanda Historical Church. BE GOOD to our neighbors, NO LOITERING OR LITTERING PLEASE.

ada disabled handicap parking

There is LIMITED ADA DISABLED HANDICAP PARKING at The Chaffey Garcia House. Guests that need assistance may be dropped off in front of entrance. Able driver can go park car and walk back to event entrance.

wheelchairs, strollers and wagons

Most pathways, sidewalks and grounds are manageable. Please note: The Gravel Area can be challenging for any item that has “wheels”.

ONLY VETTED COSPLAYERS/ENTERTAINERS ARE PERMITTED TO HAVE “FAKE” COSTUME WEAPONS. If you would like to be considered, please email: SummerSpookNights@gmail.com

Wearing costumes is ENCOURAGED! AND INCREDIBLY WELCOMED! ZERO WEAPONS, REAL OR FAKE WILL BE ALLOWED. LEAVE THEM AT HOME. RE: ABOVE FOR “WEAPONS” POLICY.

JUMP SCARES “SCARE ACTORS”

This event is NOT A HAUNT. It is a community gathering of all who enjoy halloween and horror. As well as, The Etiwanda Historical Society Grounds and Barn. Our cosplayers are here for aesthetic and atmosphere for “PHOTO OPS” & “CONTENT”. If you have a child or adult with sensory restrictions please be mindful, our event may not be for you. BATHROOMS

The Chaffey Garcia House Barn has 2 “REAL BATHROOMS” there are no baby changing stations. Though, a stroller can fit easily inside each bathroom. Two additional “Porta Potties” will be available on our Gravel Area.
